Hi, i am working on a video project with both Repaer and premiere pro. To make the film score , i have imported a part of the video montage as a mp4 file to playback in Reaper. The problem is that the timebase doesnt match my cuts i have done in Premiere when i play it in Reaper, for example, in premiere the first transition happens at 3seconds(wich contains 29.97 non drop frames) when in reaper it happens at 3,466seconds its not well sync at the exact frame. What should i do if i wan to sync the music at the exact frame in Reaper ?? Thank you !
First thing to do is to be absolutely certain that your framerate and timecode are matching each other perfectly in both apps. So in Premiere, burn timecode directly onto each frame and triple-check your output settings frame rate. Then in Reaper, make sure you match that frame rate perfectly in Project Settings > Video > Frame rate. You will see a bunch of options, including 29.97ND in your case. Also, you have to be 100% certain that the video is aligned to the start of the project timeline, since you can move it around for offset. Try all those steps, and post back and let us know what happens. If you still have a problem, feel free to post a tiny excerpt of the video file with timecode burned in and I'll be happy to test it myself.
Great to hear! Reaper is an amazing tool, but it's insanely deep, so take your time learning all the cool features and settings -- it's great for working with video.

Hey guys, i am heading now to another "small problem" When i make a cut in premiere it is always done at the exact frame, it will always be either at the begining of the frame or at the end but never at the middle or 3/4. I can not cut for example at the middle of the 13th frame But in Reaper it is different, when i go manually to the 13th frame it is possible to place a sound wherever i want during 0.033millisec ( wich is the time that one frame is displayed in mycase because i shot at 29.97 fps) . And since i have to perfectly sync the music with the cut its very important to me to be sure that the sound transition will not appear with delay even if its only few milliseconds. Is there a way or a shortcut to always go at the very begining og the frame or at the very end ? like that i could perfectly sync the music at the exact begining of a frame during a transition :) Thank you very much ! :)
Hey Fetidus ! thank your for the answer ! English is not my native language and when it becomes complex sometimes it's hard for me to understand correctly. If i understand well, you sugest me to use a fonction "snap to frame" to get perfectly sync,do you ? sorry if i did not understand well what you said :s
