Well, you can get the ADAT option card and bring your I/O count up to 16, and if you can manage to make it so that the signal going out the ADAT port doesn't go out via the coax S/PDIF (like you can on a Yamaha 01v), you can get yourself 18 channels of I/O. Then, you can plug the DDX3216 into the MIDI ports and use it as a control surface. There is a pdf file to show you how to program the DDX's MIDI control messages to work as a CS-10 control surface in Protools. Good luck!

I have a DDX3216 which I use with my 002R. I bought the ADAT optical expansion card which gives me another 8 channels of I/O with Pro Tools. The only thing which I had a slight issue with was the clocking. You might need to experiment with this or you'll experience random clicks on both record & playback. I found that setting the DDX3216 as the master clock and slaving Pro Tools off this through ADAT optical works best. One thing which I haven't been able to do however, is get the mixer to work as a control surface for Pro Tools. I have heard one or two things about this, but I know that the Behringer isn't one of the officially supported devices. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who actually has this working.
