Well, you can get the ADAT option card and bring your I/O count up to 16, and if you can manage to make it so that the signal going out the ADAT port doesn't go out via the coax S/PDIF (like you can on a Yamaha 01v), you can get yourself 18 channels of I/O. Then, you can plug the DDX3216 into the MIDI ports and use it as a control surface.
