I really like the drum character plugin that you can get with MixBus. Is there something similar for Reaper or in a VST format? To summarize what they do is that there's two parameteric eqs. One that affects the transient and one that affects the tail. You can modify the length of the transient. Thanks

I got this on sale recently and it's fucking awesome: Separate 3-band EQs for the transient and the tail, adjustable hold/release time for the transient, you can turn the transient or tail completely off if you want, it has a sidechain too.
I feel like you could probably create a chain using ReaEq and parameter modulation that does whatever a "transient eq" does. just brainstorming here cause the idea sounds cool. split the signal using the js:time adjustment and get a little pre delay going for the transient sidechain. Use a fast (or 0) attack and release on the modulation for the transient eq. you could add an expander or a gate in there pre-modulation. just use the regular signal for the sustain eq ( or split it to a 3rd set of channels, maybe even adding a comp or an inverse gate) and use a slow attack and release for the sustain modulation. or maybe just split the signal using a gate and inverse gate and have static eq's. certainly 1000% less user friendly than a plug that tries to do it all in one but you could probably fuck up your signal 1000% more than a transient eq ever could ;)
